Friendly help with all your questions & concerns

We understand you may have some questions about how we operate at Spanish Tutors Australia. We try to answer all your questions here but if there's anything we missed, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I get started?

Getting started is easy. Simply register your details and log on to our calendar. You will see an icon that says “View/Purchase Credits”. Purchase the number of credits you wish to use, find a teacher you like the sound of and book in a time that suits you in the calendar. It’s that easy.

What do I need to have for the classes?

You will need to have Skype which is free. You can download Skype at www.skype.com.

You will also need a microphone connected to your computer. A camera isn't essential for the classes but will be needed if you wish your tutor to see you.

What happens during a class?

  • It's important to be logged on to Skype at your class time so you maximise your lesson time. Your tutor will call you via Skype for a 55 minute lesson.
  • During your first lesson we need to determine your proficiency level in order to assign you to the appropriate curriculum level.
  • Your tutor will ascertain your requirements and goals for speaking Spanish, then supply pages of our curriculum interactively via Skype, allowing you and your tutor to see the text.
  • Skype has a chat feature, which also allows you and your tutor to type words so you can see how a word is spelt or correct pronunciation.

We have invested a lot of time and energy into making the interactive Spanish experience as easy and as straightforward as possible, so you can receive the highest quality service at a low, affordable price.

What are the rules and guidelines for students?

  • If we are responsible for an interruption to your class that lasts for more than 10 minutes. we will credit you with a free lesson.
  • Your tutor will wait for 20 minutes after your designated start time. If you are later than 20 minutes, your tutor will disconnect from Skype and normal charges will occur.
  • We require 24 hours notice for cancellations.
  • All curriculum provided by Spanish Tutors remains the property of Spanish Tutors and cannot be copied for external use outside of your classes with us.
  • All suggestions and issues must be directed to Lucy Scott hola@SpanishTutors.com.au.
